Hello Everyone,

Welcome to the Stonehenge Disappearance. The last in my several week long blog posts about disappearing people or anything for that matter. As I previously mentioned this one has a little bit of a twist “for me” because it is something that will relate to the characters in my future books in the “Desert Shadows” series. So pay attention because you might learn some interesting and eerie history not only about a disappearance but also about Stonehenge.

Where, When, Who:

The “where” is obviously Stonehenge, hence the title. The “when” is sometime in 1971. The “who,” is a group of “hippies” that decided to go camping at Stonehenge. Their names are; Julia Aston, Lucas Addams, Wilma Rupert, Shary Wilson Jr., and Danniel Wilson. All of whom were never heard from again after that fateful night.

The Event:

Okay, I know I’ve mentioned it before but there’s something about Continue reading

Hello Everyone,

Well it’s the second to the last blog for now about the disappearing people and this one happens to be a diplomat named Benjamin Bathurst. First off, a diplomat can be one of two types of people or one in the same. A diplomat is defined as an official representing a country, or someone who can deal with an issue in a sensitive manner. So it can be two different objectives or a person representing a country in a sensitive manner. As with Benjamin Bathurst it is one in the same.

But back to the disappearance. A disappearing diplomat can be some concern especially for the country from which he was sent. An issue like this could start wars or close borders, stop trade. All kinds of things could go wrong in a situation like this. So how did it play out, well that’s what we are going Continue reading

Hello Everyone,

First off many people or reports that relate to Owen Parfitt’s disappearance use a different title. I prefer this one because of its kinder nature to the missing person involved. Also, for any of you who have really been following me for the past several weeks on these disappearances then I would like to inform you or something. The last blog on this subject will also help to be an insight into the world of “Desert Shadows” when the time comes for the proper book in the series to reveal itself. It won’t give anything away but will allow you to understand a little of the historical or prior myth and back story that I do apply to my books.

Now back to the main topic of discussion. Owen. Well as many of you know some of the tales have been debunked or at least people have claimed Continue reading

Hello Everyone,

Well I’m still on the disappearances thing. At least for a couple more when I’m not being all nostalgic. This time it’s a tunnel.

This time it’s also a matter of time, so to speak.

The Lincoln Tunnel:

A tunnel opened in 1937 that connects New Jersey to New York via underneath the massive weight of the Hudson River. It is roughly 1.5 miles long and to me the walls still creak with the weight and fluidity of the river waiting for its right moment to push down on the drivers inside. It might sound a little bit morbid but those were the thoughts I had a few times while traversing the tunnel when I was younger with my grandparents. I prefer the George Washington bridge myself to get from point A to B.

The Mysteries:

One couple was driving through the tunnel in a tremense Continue reading

Hello Everyone,

Wow, I have to say that the amount of people my blogs are reaching nowadays is really great. Although we will be talking about the Norfolk Regiment I’m glad, and hope, that everyone is truly enjoying the blogs and taking a little bit of the dispensed knowledge with them afterwards.

So once again, thank you for continuing to read them and I will continue to try my best to deliver interesting subjects for discussion.

Back to the focus point though. The Norfolk Regiment. Well as most of you can guess it has to do with something vanishing or disappearing because that’s the topics of discussion lately. Well, you’re absolutely right. This time, however, instead of one person disappearing with many or few witnesses to testify to the accounts it was an entire regiment that disappeared.

Who, When, Where:

Well like the title states it was a Norfolk Regiment Continue reading

Hello Everyone,

Well last week it was a whole village disappearing and this week we are going to brush over some facts of a single person. That person is David Lang. Although it doesn’t make it any less eerie when a single person or a lot of people disappear the case alone is what might boggle your minds. Once again this story has some evidence to possibly debunk it. But I like living in the mysterious realm and if I didn’t see it with my own eyes I might not believe the debunkers over a person who possible made the story up. Either way here are some parts of the tale.

Where, When, Who:

David Lang is obviously “the who,” but there is also the who that witnessed the event. His wife and kids watched him vanish in the blink of an eye and so did a passing by carriage. Continue reading

Hello Everyone,

Well I know most of us have heard of the movie, “30 Days of Night,” Or have seen it. It is a movie that involves vampires going to a northern Alaskan town to wipe out the population that decided to stay through the month of darkness. Well the eerie thing is, is that there is an actual village that did disappear. It was the Eskimo Village on Lake Angikuni, Canada. I know they are not related but the similar aspects made me think of the movie. In the movie the vampires can feast for thirty days and then leave the town without any trace of the people. They would have simply disappeared. Similar to what happened to this village in real life.

The Event:

Well apparently it happened sometime in 1930 as far as most of the reports go. Although the vent was allegedly debunked I still Continue reading

Hello Everyone,

First of all this is the triangle that is not to be confused with its more famous brother or sister triangle The Bermuda or its closest neighbor triangle The Bridgewater Triangle. I know right, probably never knew there were multiple “triangles” that have eerie occurrences or disappearances.

Where, When, Why:

The Bennington Triangle is located in Vermont. Actually Southwest Vermont to be more specific. When? Well that’s up to debate on what or who the when relates to. I have no idea if the mysterious area was always active but it came into popularity in the years 1920-1950. The “Why” is because a lot of people went missing in the region during those years? I know it is a long period of time.

Some Facts:

There are several reported incidents that occurred between 1945 and each one has their own intriguing and eerie story but the triangle Continue reading

Hello Everyone,

Thanks again for reading and I know I’m on another tangent but I like the flow of it. It lets me settle into a mood and writing style that I hope helps briefly explain the stories but also one that elevates the mood. This one might not seem as creepy or as eerie as others but still the facts and the investigations that followed add to the elements of the mysterious.

Where:

Well it took place on an island in the Flannan Isles of the Northwest coast of Scotland. The main incident of course that we are talking about took place at a lighthouse erected on one of those islands.

When:

December 28th 1900 was the date when someone first noticed something was amiss. The exact time of the disappearance is hard to conclude from the records except for the last time the missing people write into Continue reading

Hello Everyone,

Well like I said earlier this week that was my last vampire blog for a while unless something really cool comes up. Well here is a new subject I’m going to be focusing on for a few to ten or so blogs over the next few weeks. The subject of disappearances.

Oliver Larch:

1890 was the year and the young lads name was Oliver. He was sent to fetch water from the family well on Christmas Eve while the family was singing. It was long after his departure to the well that the family heard him yelling for help. Supposedly he was yelling, “Help, it’s got me!” Or something around those lines. It is an interesting case because certain clippings and other sources have different stories and documentation. Back to the story the weather conditions of the day were snow blanketed landscape and clear skies after an earlier Continue reading
