Eerie for Thoughts: Benjamin Bathurst

Hello Everyone,

Well it’s the second to the last blog for now about the disappearing people and this one happens to be a diplomat named Benjamin Bathurst. First off, a diplomat can be one of two types of people or one in the same. A diplomat is defined as an official representing a country, or someone who can deal with an issue in a sensitive manner. So it can be two different objectives or a person representing a country in a sensitive manner. As with Benjamin Bathurst it is one in the same.

But back to the disappearance. A disappearing diplomat can be some concern especially for the country from which he was sent. An issue like this could start wars or close borders, stop trade. Haunted Places: Vulture Mine

Hello Everyone,

As we continue through our session of haunted places in Arizona this one is a little different from the others. It is not a building or a cemetery but a place within the Earth. The haunted place is Vulture Mine in Wickenburg, AZ. The Gold mine to be more specific.

Wickenburg:

Named after Henry Wickenburg who was also the founder of the Vulture Mine, the town first started being established in 1863. Although some buildings and settlers with gold in their eyes already lived in the area that town did not take off until then. Much of the surrounding area is named after the first prospectors who ventured to the area as well.

The town is primarily in Maricopa County but a good portion of it lies within Yavapai Country also. With a bloody history from the start the town did help pave the way for grounding other Continue reading →

Dracula Museum

Hello Everyone,

As many of you may recall I did a whole month or two long segment about vampires. Why? Because the fascinate me. Not so much the actual creature but the myth, legend, origins, or truth behind the tales.

When we think vampires we often think blood sucking, bat morphing, creatures of the night with a hint of seduction in most tales. If I asked any of you to name a vampire, of course maybe not the Twilight crowd, many of you would say Dracula as your immediate response. Trust me I asked a few people and this was the results. Dracula or the main character from Twilight was what came up and it was a generation difference in the answers. Germany’s Black Forest

Hello Everyone,

I just posted a picture from a Facebook site that I follow this week and the caption stated that the Black Forest was responsible for 15,000 missing people cases last year. I posted it, not taking into account the large number of people is and was even called out on it a little for factual information. Although I would like to do some more research into the subject my time is limited and this is what I have found out so far.

Numbers:

Some sources say that the actual number is 1,500. That would make a little more sense considering it is still an awfully lot of people to go missing. Still it doesn’t mean in any sense that they these people were ever discovered, simply missing. So that could make the number easily higher again. Think about lost kids at a store or mall.
