Desert Shadows: Characters Part 2

Hello Everyone,

Thanks again for reading and since I know some of you enjoyed the insight into my character development I thought I would share a little more.

The Tics and Peeves:

I hope I spelled that right but what I mean by this is the finer toned parts of characters when I develop their attitude or their personalities. What makes them Tic? What are their peeves? Really all those little things are what I find interesting in character development. They are the same things that make us stand out in the real world from other people. I know many of us fit into social niches of some extent but we are still separated by those things that make us, us.

Desert Shadows: Characters Part 1

Hello Everyone,

Something people have asked me about is how I came up with the characters in my writings. Many times the characters are based on something that I envisioned when trying to capture an audience’s attention to feel a particular emotion or way about a character. Sometimes this is based on segments of my life where I felt a certain way and I try to put these feelings into words for the character for the audience to later relate too. I know, it sounds confusing but that’s the way I look at it. Sometimes certain influences can be from something I saw in my life or a way a person reacts to something. I will change it to make the character different from an actual person I met, but I keep the actions on a similar basis. Becoming Known to an Audience

Hello Everyone,

Roadrunner Theatre Company:

Just recently on a Friday night I visited a production performed by the Roadrunner Theatre Company in East Tucson. The play was “Leading Ladies” a comedy-romance done with small props, few actors/actresses but a lot of heart and talent. I really enjoyed the play and the performance done by all the actors/actresses and the other parties involved. It reminded me of the beginnings that I am currently going through with trying to get my own name heard and people to read the book “Desert Shadows.”

Many people ask why I wrote the book:

Historical Aspects in Desert Shadows

Hello Everyone,

First of all I hope everyone it well and is checking out information about the American Revolutionary War this week. It did begin on April 19th, 1775. At least according to my calendar and to some other sources. I find it interesting that through so much research you can actually find conflicts of certain important dates such as this. And only dating back 241 years. It is not a very long time in human history or even the recorded history of humans. Think about all the knowledge or events that would be so easy to hide or misconstrue over such a period of time.

Coming up with the title Desert Shadows

Hello Again,

Hope my previous blog wasn’t to boring in the general sense. As many of you can imagine, especially those I have spoken with since going public with the book, “Desert Shadows,” and myself, is that there has been a lot of questions floating around. Well, there has. I am getting a lot of the same ones so before adding it to the FAQs section I will try to answer some here. One that people keep asking me about is the title and the fact that there are other books with the same “main” title.

How is this?

Well first off, those several other books are on different subjects. Some have subtitles to the main title that explain what the book is about besides just “Desert Shadows.” When I first titled the book “Desert Shadows” I asked myself the same question about it possibly getting confused. Once again I would like to thank all of you who have added me as a friend through social media and any that are following.  I would also like to thank all of you who have taken the time to visit the website.
