Hello Everyone,

Well I know I said I was going to also focus on some other topics this month and I will. Don’t worry. But as I was looking through some information, trying to remember a few things, I stumbled upon a picture that reminded me of Greyfriars Kirkyard. As I opened the picture for a more detailed view, to my surprise it was. So here we are with some more information on a haunted cemetery.

A little about Greyfriars Kirkyard:

Okay, well first thing is, is that this cemetery is really old. It dates back with burials to the 16th century. That’s a lot of time for spirits to live in unrest if they were buried there with reasons to be in an unrest state of being.

The cemetery is located in Edinburgh, Scotland. This is a traditional style cemetery that also houses a church onsite that is, Continue reading

Hello Everyone,

I know everyone has not seen my posts on other media so as the title states that is what I am doing, saying a Quick Hello.

I have been extremely busy lately. Some of you who have been following me for some time and may have noticed that some of the blogs in the recent posts have been, recycled in a way. However, the blogs were some of my favorites. I do wish I could have managed more time to add new.

Quick Hello:

It will not be a long blog. I am exhausted from the day and have two tests at work coming up in the next week. After those are done, I am hoping that my time can slowly be put back into focusing on the blogs. Nice new, interesting, and of course ‘eerie’ facts, tales and other stories.

I know that I have been slacking Continue reading

Hello Everyone,

As many of my southeastern Arizona followers know, Boot Hill is the famous cemetery just outside of Tombstone, Arizona. This cemetery is famous for its notable tombstones that share both humorous messages and also some eerie pasts.

What Boot Hill?

Well as it turns out, there are numerous “Boot Hill” cemeteries across the western parts of the United States of America. This is because it was a common saying for the burial grounds of gunfighters that were more prone to be living in these parts.

The term basically means that they died with their boots on.

Tombstone’s Boot Hill, a little History:

First off, the cemetery was not always in the location that we know it to be today. The cemetery was relocated to the current area in 1884 and is the resting place of over 250 people. This included everyone at the time. It could be the Continue reading

Hello Everyone,

Once again thanks for reading and taking a look at another haunted place. In fact another haunted Asylum. This time the name rings a bell to me that drives me to take my research a little deeper I this one. Simply put, there is a neighboring area by me that is called Rolling Hills and I am curious if there is any relation to this asylum. Much like New York is named after York in England I wonder if this is perhaps set the same way in places across the United States from east to West coast. Depending on where the original was established first I guess.

The Story Behind the Haunted Place:

Located in Bethany, New York the haunted place known as Rolling Hills Asylum was opened in 1827 and closed in 1972. Actually in the mid-50s it was primarily a nursing home for the elderly and Continue reading

Hello Everyone,

Thanks for reading as usual. I wanted to add this here as well as my other social media posts so it will reach as much of an audience as possible. Hopefully Pay it Forward.

Several years ago I was admitted into Tucson Medical Center for a severe medical condition. I spent my fair share of days and nights in there. The staff was very nice to me and took care of me and now that things have been going do good for me I am in a position to pay it forward.

Pay it Forward:

Along with some books that have already been sent to the TMC Foundation for the children’s fund, I will also be donating my royalties/profits from this coming quarters book sales of my book Desert Shadows. I am just happy I can finally Pay it Forward to those who gave me so much when Continue reading

Hello Everyone,

I know it might look strange or to modern texting type language to be using the (2) in the middle of Books 2 Movies, but it is the more common form of writing this. Just like B2B in business to business. Anyways back to the point, books to movies.

What it is-Book 2 Movie:

Well what it is, is exactly what it says. It is when a book is turned into a movie. Sometimes this works great for the book and sometimes it hurts it. Sometimes it turns out to be a great film but people don’t like the book. And nowadays we have seen the rise of video games to movies also which has been very successful. Often times I will read a book and then see the movie and feel like it didn’t do the book justice. This in turn is when the book can get Continue reading

Hello Everyone,

Welcome to the Stonehenge Disappearance. The last in my several week long blog posts about disappearing people or anything for that matter. As I previously mentioned this one has a little bit of a twist “for me” because it is something that will relate to the characters in my future books in the “Desert Shadows” series. So pay attention because you might learn some interesting and eerie history not only about a disappearance but also about Stonehenge.

Where, When, Who:

The “where” is obviously Stonehenge, hence the title. The “when” is sometime in 1971. The “who,” is a group of “hippies” that decided to go camping at Stonehenge. Their names are; Julia Aston, Lucas Addams, Wilma Rupert, Shary Wilson Jr., and Danniel Wilson. All of whom were never heard from again after that fateful night.

The Event:

Okay, I know I’ve mentioned it before but there’s something about Continue reading

Hello Everyone,

First off many people or reports that relate to Owen Parfitt’s disappearance use a different title. I prefer this one because of its kinder nature to the missing person involved. Also, for any of you who have really been following me for the past several weeks on these disappearances then I would like to inform you or something. The last blog on this subject will also help to be an insight into the world of “Desert Shadows” when the time comes for the proper book in the series to reveal itself. It won’t give anything away but will allow you to understand a little of the historical or prior myth and back story that I do apply to my books.

Now back to the main topic of discussion. Owen. Well as many of you know some of the tales have been debunked or at least people have claimed Continue reading

Hello Everyone,

Something that the book Desert Shadows in many ways focuses on is the older mining facilities. In this story it mainly focuses on a particular time-frame and in a particular area. To not ruin anything for everyone who hasn’t read that far in I am going to concentrate on the general feelings that people often have towards these mines.

The Open Pit Mine Shafts:

Now I don’t know which one strikes me with a more eerie feeling so I’m going to talk about the two more common ones starting with the open pits. The thing that probably gets me the most with these is the possible accidentally fall to the bottom, bouncing of rocks and whatever other debris exist before you hit the ground. As a child growing up in the desert around these pits I found a fascination and a certain respect for these pits. First Continue reading

Hello Everyone,

This is a subject that could go on for a while. I am going to focus on the basic idea of the sites and what makes me get an eerie feeling.

I would like to thank my brother for this idea because it’s something that I often talk about with books like “Desert Shadows” but seldom refer back too. In fact it was an aspect I was highly considering putting into the book but I never brushed the details of the area enough to find it relevant to the plot.

Curse:

Typically a curse means to cause a misfortunes to someone or some type of consequence will come if someone does something to provoke or initiate the curse upon themselves. Curses can also be those that are given to someone by accident or by a person who can grant them to their benefit from the outcome. Some Continue reading
