Hello Everyone,

Just thinking about my upcoming photo session so I can get some pictures of me on the Internet and began thinking. I was thinking about some of the scary pictures I use as wallpaper on my computer and other types of pictures I’ve seen. Most of mine relate to an eerie feeling or what some might consider horror or just plain sick but lots of them were put on there for inspiration or to move my thought process along. Don’t get me wrong not all of my pictures are like this I do have landscape sceneries, animals, funny things and other stuff and am not totally divulged in this darker world.

The Main Picture that Comes to Mind:

The main picture that comes to my mind when I think of a scary or eerie picture is the one from the 1990 movie The Witches. For all of you Continue reading

Hello Everyone,

Happy Friday the 13th.

First off I know I’ve been doing a lot of segments lately about vampires. It just so happens I was looking at a castle that I have always admired this week named the Neuschwanstein Castle. This castle was built in more modern times compared to other castles of the dark ages. Actually started construction in 1869 making it a beautiful yet young castle. One day I hope to venture there and fulfill a dream I once had of that place. Anyway I found another castle that possesses a darker feel to it. One could maybe say it’s eerie.

The Alnwick Castle:

This castle was built in 1096 but was not recognized until it was overtaken by Scotland. The castle was almost destroyed at one point but survived leaving it to intrigue our imaginations into the present times filling in the background in notable movies Continue reading

Hello Everyone,

First of all before I take my twist on the subject of Mother’s Day I would like to thank all of you beautiful and wonderful mothers out there and wish you a most sincere and wonderful Mother’s Day this year. But now I would like to focus a minute of your attention on a mother in history that is hardly recognized as being a mother. She was born in Transylvania in 1560 and died in 1614 after being isolated for her crimes. If you haven’t’ guessed it by now her name was Elizabeth Bathory.

Who She Was:

She was born into a wealthy family and married into one as well. These were not just wealthy families alone but families with power. Dukes, cardinals, knights, and other politicians, so to speak. During that time she had six kids of her own that sources vary upon the relationship she had Continue reading

Hello Everyone,

Peter is sometimes referred by one of the two alternate last names depending on the form (Serbian-German) from what I understand. He was a Serbian born peasant who apparently killed nine fellow villagers after his death. This was apparently done in the fashion of what people declared as vampirism.

When and Where, How?

1725 was the year of Peter’s death in the Serbian town of Kisilova. Within eight days of his death the nine other villagers died of various causes, but it was on their death beads that they declared some type of encounter with Peter just prior to the illness. (Reports from sources say different causes). Long story short, the body of Peter was eventually exhumed and it showed signs of new growth, fingernails, beard length, new skin, etc. These signs were enough to convince the villagers of vampirism and then they drove a stake through its Continue reading

Hello everyone,

Just recently I got to see firsthand again how the smallest creatures can still fill our mind with such cringe worthy eeriness and fear that I almost laughed. Especially when I realized what these two guys’ past and present jobs were and seeing their reaction. Their reaction to a spider.

Now I understand that Black Widows are dangerous spiders in the sense of their venom, from personal experience. I also am aware that they cannot jump out at you and that they will not pursue you because they are usually trying to scamper aware the minute you expose them.

Watching these two deal with removing this spider from a shed brought to my attention the bugs mentioned in my book, “Desert Shadows” and then other books or movies. Something about them still fills an uncontrollable, creepy, itchy feeling in many of us. I even had a very close Continue reading

Hello Everyone,

First off people might ask me what I find eerie about this. Frankly it’s because it is a vampire story, or at least to some extent of one. Vampires are something that still find their way into our imaginations from time-to-time and are constantly revisited in movies, books and other forms of media. This vampire tale happens to take place in a cemetery location which just adds to the eeriness of the story. Although like most posts in this segment I will leave most of the research up to you, the reader, I do want to touch base on one major part of the story. That is, it starts in the 1950s.

Why does the date stand out?

To me the date stands out because of how recent it was and that it caused such an up-stir. Although more in depth information is scattered around the Internet on Continue reading

Hello everyone,

I am adding this section to my blog from now on. It is called “Eerie for Thought.” Kind of like the saying “Food for Thought.” Although my segment is nothing to take to seriously, or into deep consideration, it is stuff that I find interesting and would like to hear any feedback about what you think. So hopefully it will be fun and informative for everyone So we will focus this first one on the Sedlec Ossuary

The Sedlec Ossuary

The Sedlec Ossuary is something that always interested me. Although there are many ossuaries around the world they are mainly in Europe from my research. This one stands out because of its huge skeletal display. Although I am not planning on going to deep into facts about the Sedlec Ossuary I want to focus more on the eeriness of the display that many nowadays would find frightening but Continue reading
